Analysis: England's fate in the world cup will be based on
two things. First, Wayne Rooney. The Manchester United striker is one of the
best players in the world and without a doubt the best player in England.
However, he has failed to show his potential in his previous world cups, both
ending in bitter disappointment for England. The second factor is whether
Hodgson decides to play an attacking brand of football. England has many goal
scorers such as Rooney, Sturridge, and Welbeck. However, England must play with
the mindset of outscoring the other team rather than defending and trying not
to let the other team score. England has so much attacking talent that it would
be a waste to see them park the bus.
